Children are the heart of Cedar Lodge Dental Group, and providing care for the entire family under one roof is our priority. The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that children see a dentist by their first birthday. The ADA has also mandated that every pediatric patient is screened to identify sleep and breathing issues at a young age so we are able to give them the treatment they need during their critical years of development.

During their first visit, we take a gentle and relaxed approach. Our goal is to create a positive and non-threatening environment for our young patients. We introduce them to dental tools and equipment in a fun and engaging manner. Around age three our team performs teeth polishing, a thorough examination, and applies topical fluoride varnish at the parents request. X-rays are typically taken if there are any concerns, or as soon as compliance is achieved, which is usually around the age of four.

At Cedar Lodge Dental Group, we go above and beyond to prioritize childhood dental care and promote overall well-being. Our dedicated team is committed to providing comprehensive and gentle dental services specifically designed for children. We believe in the power of regular dental checkups and appliance therapy, including airway focused dentistry, to prevent oral health issues and ensure proper growth and development. Additionally, we specialize in identifying and addressing tongue/lip ties and offer myofunctional therapy to optimize oral function. By combining our expertise in pediatric dentistry, airway dentistry, and myofunctional therapy, we strive to create a positive and nurturing environment where children can receive exceptional care and develop lifelong oral health habits. Trust us to provide your child with the dental care they deserve, supporting their healthy smiles and overall well-being.
